Included in the Rio+20 Declaration, “The Future We Want”, the concept of Land Degradation Neutrality has been presented as a major theme since last UNCCD COP11.
Another new concept, Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA), is also strongly advocated by national institutions and policies and could potentially mark a new turning point in agricultural development orientations.
The shared understanding of these concepts among different stakeholders is thus urgent and important for their possible adoption, appropriation and implementation.
In this respect, the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) and Le Centre d‘Actions et de Réalisations Internationales (CARI) launched a questionnaire which aims to deduce a Circum-Saharan perpective on major risks of and opportunities for LDN and CSA.
The questionnaire online is aimed at the various stakeholders involved in the conceptualization, implementation, and monitoring of activities related to land degradation and rehabilitation.
The questionnaire will be available online until 28 September 2015 and accessible on the following address:
You can also use the Word format of the questionnaire and send it to the following address: questionnaire@oss.org.tn
The questionnaire’s results will be analyzed and will later feed into a synthesis document that can be presented at a side event during COP12.
