The Sahara & Sahel Observatory (OSS), chaired by Mr. El Sayed El Quseir, Minister of Agriculture & Land Reclamation of Egypt, for the 2021-2024 period, held the 27th session of its Executive Board online on April 6-7, 2021.
The OSS Executive Board (EB) brings together high-level administrators from a number of member countries as well as representatives of sub-regional, regional & international organizations. As a decision-making body whose operation & term are governed by the statutes of the Organization, its role is to implement the resolutions of the General Assembly, validate the OSS programs and activities, mobilize the scientific community & identify new development partners.
The 27th session marked by the presence of Mr. Nabil Ben Khatra, new Executive Secretary of the OSS, focused mainly on reviewing the results of the 2020 achievements, the adoption of the 2021 work program & budget and the implementation of the new 2030 strategy.
