It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing away of Mr. Chedly Fezzani, former Executive Secretary and founder member of the OSS, on February 8, 2019 in Tunis.
His strong personality, keen intelligence, innate sense of mediation and total commitment to the Observatory have succeeded in making OSS a recognized and respected organization.
We will always remember his fatherly advice, his furry voice, his long silhouette, his hat... or his attachment to his beloved cigarettes. We already miss him!

Mr Chedly Fezzani, was a Doctor of Engineering in Geographical Sciences, married and father of three children. He had been made a Knight of the Order of the Tunisian Republic twice, Knight of the Legion of Honour of the French Republic, Knight of the Order of Ivorian Merit and had obtained many other distinctions throughout Africa.
