The OSS participated in the 7th European Bioremediation Conference held in Chania (Greece) from 25 to 28 June 2018, and presented the dissemination and communication achievements of the *FLOWERED project “de-FLuoridation technologies for imprOving quality of WatEr and agRo-animal products along the East African Rift Valley in the context of aDaptation to climate change”.
This event which gathered scientists and engineers from all over the world to present their findings and exchange information on recent advances in environmental remediation technologies, especially focusing on bioremediation and phytoremediation of contaminated sites including the marine environment.
The conference topics included new challenges, future trends, directions and most recent technological innovations for management and restoration of a wide range of contaminated sites and marine environments as well as on resource preservation through recycling and bio-based reclamation, towards to a circular economy model implementation.
A special session gathering the 7 “Water for Africa” projects, financed under the EU H2020 programme was held during the EBC VII – ISEB 2018, where each project was presented. The FLOWERED presentation focused on the objective and the description of the WorkPackages. a specific presentation was dedicated to the dissemination activities were communication and dissemination materials were presented (Newsletters, Brochure, Posters, Videos, etc.).
