The OSS, in collaboration with the University of Cagliari (Italy) and the University of Eldoret (Kenya), organized the second regional workshop of the Flowered project in Nakuru, Kenya, from 24 to 28 September 2018.
On the agenda of this workshop, an international conference, a Posters session, a field visit to the project study area, an awareness day for primary school students, the 2nd general meeting of the project and the Steering committee. As a leader of the work package 6 related to communication and dissemination activities, OSS presented the activities carried out during the last year.
Among the highlights of this regional event that brings together the 14 members of the consortium, the presentation of a new defluoridation device which has to be tested on the field to optimize technical and economic performance.
FLOWERED is a research project carried out in 3 countries of the Rift Valley (Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania), which aims to develop innovative water defluoridation technologies and develop sustainable techniques for water management at the local level.
