A delegation of experts from Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria is participating in a study tour organized by GIZ - German International Cooperation and the Sahara and Sahel Observatory OSS in Frankfurt (Germany), from 24 June 30, 2018 as part of the REGIONAL COOPERATION FOR THE SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF MAGHREB WATER RESOURCES | CREM (Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia).
The purpose of this trip, aimed at high-level decision-makers in the water sector of the 3 countries, was to discuss topics related to the sustainable management of water resources in the Maghreb: the legal instruments for managing water and groundwater protection, international cooperation of state authorities in the water sector.
In this context, the delegation was informed, among other things, of the management of water resources at the Wiesbaden site of the Regional Council (RP) of #Darmstadt, and discussed issues relating to the management of groundwater pollution, monitoring and the role of the authorities in the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive.
