A delegation from the OSS led by Mr. Kherraz, OSS Executive Secretary, visited Kampala (Uganda) as part of the project related to “Enhancing resilience of communities to climate change through catchment based integrated management of water and related resources in Uganda – EURECCCA”.
In this context, the delegation of the OSS was received by the Minister of State of Uganda in charge of the Environment. This visit allowed to review the projects in partnership and the prospects for collaboration between the OSS and the Ministry of Environment of Uganda, and particularly the EURECCCA project.
The discussions focused on the progress of the project and the results achieved.
The Minister expressed her wish to develop new projects for the benefit of her country in the Environment and Water sector.
The EURECCCA project is implemented by the Ministry of Water and Environment of Uganda, implemented by OSS and funded by the Adaptation Fund. It aims to strengthen the resilience of Ugandan communities to the impacts of climate change through the promotion of integrated, equitable and sustainable management of land and water resources by basin, to enhance resilience to climate change and increase climate resilience. while ensuring food security.
