OSS celebrates the Africa Day, 25 May 2018

09/05/2018

Africa Day is the annual commemoration of the foundation of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) in 1963 (later rebranded in 2001 as the African Union (AU)). It is celebrated widely across the world on May 25 and represents the symbol of Africa's struggle for liberation, emancipation, development and progress.
On this occasion, the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) hosted a conference under the theme: "Natural Resource Management in Africa: Challenges and Opportunities". This event was held on May 11, 2018 at the African Union headquarter in Tunis and brought together representatives of African diplomatic missions as well as technical and financial partners from the region.
