On the occasion of the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought 2020, the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) invites you to discover and see the "CDD PORTAL", for the exchange of Sustainable Land and Water Management good practices in the Sahel-Sahara region.
Through sketches, images and easy explanations, this ergonomic portal, suitable for mobile phones, provides an overview of combating desertification and drought (CDD) good practices that have been published and identified by different initiatives and programs, at regional and national levels.

The World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought is observed every June 17 of each year by the UNCCD, to promote public awareness on the desertification, drought and land degradation issues and on international efforts to mitigate and combat this blight. The “Food. Feed. Fibre” topic, chosen for 2020, is an opportunity to remind everyone that land degradation neutrality (LDN) is achievable through strong community involvement and cooperation at all levels.
